Zawahri next targeted a Ford Explorer, killing the driver and the passenger. He fatally shot a woman outside the library and opened fire on students who were trying to run away. The shooting ended at the college library, where he opened fire on students studying for finals, before being fatally wounded in an exchange of gunfire with responding police officers.<br>
