Details: Originally from Corsica, the ship slipped away from Greek authorities early on July 5. On July 6, the boat was traveling slowly towards Gaza, waiting to see if other boats would join it. Details: Attempted to set sail from Crete but was turned back 15 minutes later by coast guard, who were using water canons. Greek prosecutors began taking statements from the passengers. Two kayakers have been released, but the activist in whose name the boat was registered remains in custody. |
