The incident happened Friday at 10:30 a.m. Police said they responded to a call for a flourishing and noticed a dark gray car with three people inside. They noticed a backseat passenger making "suspicious" movements, according to court documents. They followed the vehicle and saw it accelerate. When an officer turned on his lights and sirens, it drove away at a high rate of speed. Police saw the car run multiple stop signs and enter into Halls Ferry Circle from Riverview. Cars had to stop suddenly to avoid an accident, police said. An officer pursued the car onto Hall street but stopped. A few blocks away and a short time later, the officer came across the car smashed into the concrete base of the stop light at Adelaide Avenue and Hall Street. Angela Hallmon, now 54, was charged in December 2013 with stabbing her brother in the chest, leaving him in critical condition. Her brother, Edward Hallmon, died March 8 at a nursing home. He was 55. Police say Angela Hallmon stabbed her brother at their home in the 5300 block of Northland Avenue with a knife after an argument. Police said they were unable to find the knife and that Angela Hallmon cleaned up blood from the scene. She was charged with domestic assault, armed criminal action and evidence tampering. Prosecutors are awaiting documentation from the St. Louis Medical Examiner before deciding whether to upgrade charges. The intruder died later Tuesday at a hospital. He was identified as Eric M. Frazer, 38, of the 5000 block of Oak Grove Church Road in Robertsville. The two men were neighbors in a community near Lake Arrowhead, about 50 miles southwest of St. Louis. They used to party together, said Frazer's girlfriend, Cindie Spence. "They always hung out," Spence said. "They were like best friends." She said Frazer mowed the man's yard Monday night and later complained about him. "Those two would always argue with each other," she said. Police said Antwon Binion Sr. was shot at about 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Eichelberger Street. He died later at a hospital. Police said he was 36 years old. Smith was shot near his home several times about 3:10 p.m. in the 1100 block of Sutter Avenue, said Tim Swope, chief of the North County Police Cooperative. At least 20 shots were fired. A friend of Smith's drove him to St. Mary's Hospital after the shooting, police said. Smith either died on the way or at the hospital. Swope's department called the Major Case Squad for help investigating the killing. They drove to a hotel as they had done several times before, calling it a girls night out. But Church, 50, had other plans this time, a murder-suicide, and Eureka investigators hope to unravel the reasons behind it. Police trying to trace Church’s final hours and days say it appears she was under mounting pressures in her life. They also say she had untreated depression. Sometime that night or the next morning, Church shot her granddaughter, Alexis, once in the head then shot and killed herself in a first-floor room at the Holiday Inn at 4901 Six Flags Road. Jermaine McDaniels, 18, of the 6900 block of Roberts Avenue, was charged Wednesday with second degree murder and armed criminal action. Police say he shot and killed Melvin Pogue,19, of the 2500 block of Crescent Avenue, at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday. He was found in the 6400 block of Myrtle Avenue in Wellston. Pogue is a 2015 graduate of Normandy High School. The 25-year-old man, in the back seat of the car, had been fatally shot. He was identified Friday as Montrel Williams, of the 10600 block of Vorhof Drive in north St. Louis County. Officers stopped the car at the intersection of Natural Bridge Road and Lucas and Hunt Road, apparently after an earlier car theft or carjacking. Williams' death appears to be connected with a robbery and struggle inside the car, said St. Louis County Police Officer Shawn McGuire. Police say Tatum shot Hurst about 4 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 300 block of Meacham Street during an argument over drugs. Hurst was shot in the neck and listed in critical condition. He died five days later, according to an online obituary for Hurst. The shooting took place about 3 p.m. Oct. 30 in the 3600 block of Cook Avenue. St. Louis prosecutors allege that Kennedy met with Stovall about money she owed him. A witness, who also was in Stovall's car, said Kennedy got into the back seat of the car with a backpack, and then told Stovall she did not have the money she owed him, prosecutors said. The witness got out of Stovall's car and a short time later heard gunshots and saw Kennedy get out of Stovall's car and run down an alley. A veteran Lakeshire police sergeant and a St. Louis County police officer both fired shots at the man when he came at them twice, holding the hammer over his head, officials said. Date: 11/8/15 Type: SHOOTING Location: 3600 North Grand Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri Summary: A woman was fatally shot and a man was injured in a shooting at a St. Louis intersection Sunday night, police said. The pair were found about 8:15 p.m. inside a car parked on a parking lot in the 3600 block of North Grand Boulevard, police said. But authorities believe they were shot while stopped at the nearby intersection of North Grand Boulevard and Natural Bridge Avenue. Officers in the area were told about the shooting and found the two inside the car. Sherita Dickson, 34, of the 5700 block of Floy Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was in the front passenger seat. The man, 34, who was in the driver's seat, was taken to a hospital in serious condition after being shot in the arms and chest, authorities said. Carlos Antonio Johnson, 32, of the 200 block of Royce Drive in Ferguson, was charged Sunday with second degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in the shooting of Calvin Sharp of St. Charles. Bail is set at $1 million. The arrest was made after the Hazelwood Police Department called in the Major Case Squad. Sharp was pronounced dead just after midnight Saturday after he was found by police with multiple gunshot wounds in the 8500 block of Steve Avenue. The squad’s commander, Hazelwood Lt. Mike Brady, said the team of more than 20 investigators had run all the traps but had been thwarted by a video surveillance system that failed to capture the killing at the car wash and the lack of a detailed description of the killer or his vehicle. The investigation will now be turned back over to Hazelwood police. Brady said police believed they knew a motive and were calling the victim “truly innocent.” Paul Suntra, 44, was stabbed once in the abdomen about 9 a.m. Friday at the Auto Wash at 8440 Pershall Road. Authorities gave the following account: About 8 p.m., Hollman approached Otis Adams, 34, who was in the front yard of a home at 10429 Prince, near Hollman's residence. A witness told St. Louis County police that Hollman had a gun in his hand and threatened to kill Adams, who lived in the 9700 block of Durham Drive in Moline Acres. Gunshots were heard. Adams sustained a gunshot would in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. St. Louis County police are investigating the incident, which happened near the area of Lynncrest Court and Crown Point Drive, which is an unincorporated area surrounded by Dellwood, Ferguson, Moline Acres and Bellefontaine Neighbors. Police say three contractors for ADB Utility Co. were working on water lines near that intersection when an armed robber approached two of the workers who were standing near a company truck. The robber took wallets from the two men, 49 and 58 years old, at gunpoint before turning his attention to a third man, 22, nearby, police said. The robber told the third man to give him his belongings that were inside of a work truck, according to police. That third robbery victim had a handgun stored inside the truck, and as the robber held him at gunpoint, the victim fired one shot at the robber, striking him in the chest. Relatives of the man who was shot, however, are questioning the official account and say they want more investigation into how he ended up dead. The dead man, identified by police Wednesday as Joel Wright, 41, was shot once in the head about 10 p.m. Tuesday. The shooting was at a home in the 400 block of Chamberlin Drive. The home is in the city of Winchester, southwest of the intersection of Manchester and Sulphur Spring roads. The 31-year-old man who fired the fatal shot was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder but released after prosecutors declined to immediately charge him pending further information. Westfall, who was critically injured in the attack, told police the name of the man who stabbed him in the chest. Later that day, that man came back with blood on his clothes and threatened to hurt Westfall’s younger brother, William, and burn the house down. Police arrested the man, Paul Hunott. But a county prosecutor said he wanted more evidence before he could press charges, and released him. Hours later, a fire engulfed the Westfall home, killing William Westfall. St. Louis County bomb and arson investigators say the fire is suspicious. The cause remains under investigation, but St. Louis County authorities say Hunott is a suspect in the fire. Jordan Boyce, 18, died on July 23, about a week after a natural gas explosion leveled a house at 732 Thrush Avenue, near Calvary Cemetery. Boyce was found lying in the street after the July 16 explosion. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Another man, 21, was pulled from the wreckage of the home. He survived but was critically injured. The blast also set two other homes on fire and damaged at least eleven more. The circumstances of the shooting remained unclear. Spokesman Shawn McGuire said investigators didn’t know whether the shooting was an accident. The 3-year-old boy was struck fatally by a single shot to his abdomen at a residence in the 1600 block of Emerald Creek Drive, off Shackelford Road in an unincorporated area north of Florissant, police said. Officers first received a call at 11:08 a.m. The boy, identified by family as Xavier “Zae” Robinson, died a short time later at a hospital. Police described the 15-year-old boy as a family acquaintance, who fled the house on foot. Police canine officers searched the area for the suspect. There are fields to the west of Shackelford and woods behind the subdivision of two-story homes, most of which were built within the last 10 years or so, according to county property records. An autopsy showed the boy, Braydon Barnes, died of hyperthermia, or overheating, in his crib, according to authorities. Lucas Russell Barnes, 25, and Kathleen Peacock, 22, were charged with felony child abuse and manufacture of methamphetamine in a residence with a child present, St. Charles County Prosecutor Tim Lohmar announced Tuesday. Barnes and Peacock left the boy in a back room at their mobile home in the 3700 block of Baden Street for more than 38 hours, authorities said. During that time a space heater was running in the room. The space heater had no thermostat to turn it off automatically when it got too hot, authorities said. Ralph Collier, 32, was fatally shot about 4 p.m. in the 1300 block of 37th Street, said East St. Louis Police Chief Michael Hubbard. Another man was was wounded in the shooting. Hubbard did not know Collier's last known address. Hubbard said Collier and another man got into an argument with two men in a store's parking lot at 25th and State streets in East St. Louis. Collier and the other man were followed to 37th Street where they were shot. Two people Hubbard described as "persons of interest" were in custody Wednesday. Hubbard would not elaborate. George T. Tillman, 31, and Ashly S. Bonner, 26, had lured Roderick Taylor to Bonner’s home in Granite City to rob him, and shot and beat him in the process, officials said. The three worked at the same company, according to a statement from Madison County State’s Attorney Thomas Gibbons, and the defendants previously had been in a relationship. “This appears to be a carefully calculated crime. The victim died an unnecessary, violent death, at the hands of two people whom he shouldn’t have had any reason to believe would harm him,” Gibbons said. Taylor, 45, lived in Collinsville. Tillman is from Belleville. It was not explained what was taken in the robbery. The crime unraveled after Tillman, driving a maroon 2006 Cadillac, fled from a traffic stop by a Brooklyn officer on Illinois Route 3 about 7 p.m. Dec. 17. Summary: Prosecutors here charged a Texas resident on Tuesday with manslaughter, alleging that she killed a woman with an illegal cosmetic procedure on the victim’s buttocks. Charging documents say Nitica Deonte Lee, 44, of Dallas, recklessly caused the death of Daysha Phillips by injecting her with a silicone substance. Phillips, 22, received the injections at the Drury Inn at 10490 Natural Bridge Road in Edmundson on July 26, the documents say. She died four days later of a silicone pulmonary embolism, meaning it entered her bloodstream and became trapped in her lungs. Shortly after returning home, officials said, she had trouble breathing and was taken to a hospital. She was declared brain dead and taken off life support. Shawn Swindel, of the 1700 block of Westview Drive near Imperial, was charged Thursday with second-degree murder and delivering or distributing a controlled substance in the death of Joshua Loyd, 24. Loyd was found dead of a heroin overdose Dec. 27, 2014, at his apartment in the 4000 block of Summit Knoll Drive, police said. The day before, Loyd had allegedly gotten two doses of heroin from Swindel. Police said text messages were found about the drug transfer between Swindel and Loyd. Antonio Perkins, 19, died Sept. 18, 2016, police said. Perkins was found with a gunshot wound to the head on Dec. 15 after police were called to the 4400 block of Kennerly Avenue in the Ville neighborhood. He was listed in critical condition at the time. After his death, the crime was reclassified as a homicide. Authorities had no information about a suspect.
