descrizione del progetto: As of today, 842 million people in the world suffer from hunger. The lack of access to a good quality of food impairs people's capability to build a proper future.
Given its longstanding experience in fighting hunger in Developing Countries, Cesvi promotes the Food Right Now campaign to increase the understanding of the causes, solutions and actions on global hunger and to foster the participation in fighting inequalities. Students, young people and teachers will be engaged in activities and national events while being encouraged to take action against global hunger.
The campaign focuses on three key topics related to hunger: emancipation of women to promote a long-term progress in Developing countries; access to water, energy and agricultural resources; environmental issues (climate change, biodiversity, food waste).
descrizione del progetto: esvi has a dual role of supporting victims of the emergency in the North-East of the country and of helping the development of the socio-sanitary sector in the Kinshasa region. In the Ituri district, activities are concentrated around Mambsaa and Djugu in the sectors of protection, food security, water and sanitation. In the Haut UéLé district, Cesvi is involved in emergency projects in constructing wells and latrines and promoting health/hygiene awareness in the Dungu and Faradje territories. In the capital the health programme included four hospitals in Kinshasa and Bas Congo, focalising on the fight against big epidemics (HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis). Here Cesvi is also undertaking emergency health programmes in the fight against the cholera epidemic, to reinforce local bodies helping street children aimed at protection, reintegration and psycho-social support.
