The Ice Rink begins its season Nov. 21, and a light blanket of snow will fall every 30 minutes, Thursday through Sundays between 6 and 10 p.m. throughout December. The Ice Rink will remain open through Jan. 4, 3 p.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, and noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday. From Dec. 22 to Jan. 2, special hours of noon to midnight will kick in. Skating is $10 for Nevada residents and $15 for nonresidents. <b>Description:</b> Kwanzaa 2014, A Celebration of African Values, Culture and Community, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The community celebration invites people to share the meaning of Kwanzaa and embrace and celebrate the accomplishments of youths graduating from the annual Rites of Passage mentoring workshops. It also offers a chance to celebrate the best in African culture and community. The event is set to include a bazaar, a community musical and spoken-word tribute, a production of the August Wilson play “Two Trains Running,” a book signing by Sarann Knight Preddy and more.<br>

<b>Description:</b> The Las Vegas Ice Center plans to host its eighth annual Winter Wonderland public skate sessions through Jan. 4. The ice center is closed Dec. 25. Sessions are three hours long and are offered from 9 a.m. to noon, 12:15 to 3:15 p.m., 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 to 9:45 p.m. Dec. 26-30 and Jan. 2 and 3. Dec. 31, no 6:45 p.m. lesson will be offered. Jan. 1, no 9 a.m. to noon lesson will be offered. Jan. 4, no 3:30 or 6:45 p.m. lesson will be offered. General admission is $10 and $6 for children 5 or younger, which includes skates. A free learn to skate class is planned for beginners from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 26, 29 and Jan. 2.<br>
