<b>Description:</b> Bobonong is the headquarters of the Bobirwa Sub District and is an hour's drive from the Tuli Block area where the Northern Tuli Game Reserve is located. Bobonong has a Senior Secondary School which is a catchment for Junior Secondary Schools in the Bobirwa Sub District. It has government offices including a Magistrates office, a primary hospital, police station, post office, library and a small town center.<br>

The district has diverse animal species including the so called “BIG FIVE” and a booming tourism industry. The city had developed a gender action plan and further follow up to this plan will take place in March 2011 during the CoE process, through a management meeting and situation analysis..<br>

<b>Description:</b> The district is the largest game reserve complex in the country and the reserve provides wide base for satisfying tourist activities and research. Ghanzi is also characterised by an assortment of ethnic and cultural groupings and with different languages spoken. The internationally known annual Kuru Dance Festival mainly Basarwa dance and culture is hosted by Ghanzi District. As a local authority the council is mandated to provide infrastructure, social services and economic development through programs and projects. Council responsibility therefore includes primary health, primary education, water services, roads, programs designed for Remote Area Dwellers, destitute programs etc. Ghanzi District Council has made an inspiring effort to address gender issues by mainstreaming their gender action plan into the councils strategic plan.<br>

<b>Description:</b> The town of Jwaneng is located within the Southern district, the sixth largest district in the country and the second smallest in the country. The economic base of Jwaneng is dominated by mining and its associated construction work. The Jwaneng mine has a tremendous economic impact both regionally and nationally and its serves as the main stimulant for the role of Jwaneng in the sub region settlement hierarchy and role as centre for western Kweneng , Ngwaketse, Kgalagadi, and Ghanzi Districts. During the gender and local government workshop in Jwaneng, a gender action plan was developed and to be adopted by the council.<br>

<b>Description:</b> The district is nestled between Gaborone City and South East District Councils in the South, Kweneng District Council in the west and Central District on the North and linked to the north and south by the Botswanas main A1 road. A gender workshop was held in the council in 2010 and the council has been active in implementing its gender action plan. As a result, Kgatleng District Council was selected to participate at the Gender Justice and Local Government Summit in Johannesburg in 2010 and 2011.<br>

More than one-third of the district is covered by the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, which extends into South Africa.<br>

<b>Description:</b> Letlhakeng or Lethakeng is an urban village in Kweneng District of Botswana. The village is located 75 km north-west of Molepolole. The population of Letlhakeng was 6,032 in the 2001 census.The majority of the people of Letlhakeng are considered part of the Bakwena tribe, which is administered from the kgotla in Molepolole. However, aside from that many people speak a version of Se-Kgalagadi - a language distinct from but related to Setswana. It has a secondary school; a small hospital serves the community as well as three primary schools and a number of local government offices. Until 2005, the tarred roads ended at the village center and onward journeys were seasonally interrupted due to the gravel or sand roads. However, it is now possible to travel to most neighboring villages without difficulty following a major road building programme.<br>

<b>Description:</b> North-West District Council is one of the local authorities of Botswana. It was established in 1966, overlapping the administrative districts of Chobe and Ngamiland. Since 2006, when the Chobe District Council was established, it only administers Ngamiland. North-West's location in the country causes it to share borders with the following foreign areas: Omaheke Region, Namibia southwest, Otjozondjupa Region, Namibia west, Okavango Region, Namibia northwest, Caprivi Region, Namibia north. Domestically, it borders the following districts: Central District southeast, Ghanzi District southwest, Chobe District east. Sub-districts of North-West/Ngamiland District include: Ngami, headquarters Maun, Okavango, headquarters Gumare. By far the largest settlement in the district is Maun, which had a population of 43,776 in 2001 census. The following is the list of villages noted separately in 2001 census in each census region. <b>Description:</b> Moshupa Sub District was established in 2006 as one of Southern District Council's four sub districts.
